After taking a tour of Vent Haven Museum with hundreds of ventriloquist artifacts on display, when Denny was 10, he then decided to try this unusual and unique art form. After completing a 30 week correspondence course, his first "gig" was at the local library. He entertained for birthday parties and special school events during grade school, but it was in high school that he really gained experience as an entertainer being involved in the glee club at Elder High School. Thanks to the music teacher, he and one of his "friends" had a spot in every glee club performance, bringing audience members on stage, bantering with a spectator and after some coaxing, finally convincing his puppet to sing a song. Over the years, Denny won several junior competition awards at the International Ventriloquist convention held annually in Northern Kentucky and in 1990, at age 16, he won a 12 week city-wide talent search which gave him added incentive to continue this "hobby".

After high school, Denny pursued his dream of becoming a firefighter and paramedic, working first for Delhi Township and Middletown until 1996, then for the City of Cincinnati, where he's been ever since. On his off days, he is often seen at corporate events, corporate training sessions and banquets throughout the region using comedy, audience participation and a cast of characters to both educate and entertain.

His entourage includes the self-assured, smart aleck Arnold, Booger from down south, Bill the Duck with his radiant "air" of confidence and teenaged Trisha whose entire life revolves around "the guys".

Denny's 23 years experience has helped him develop the skill to ad-lib and customize a show for each particular group. Everyone applauds when that willing volunteer steps up on stage and offers to "team up" with the puppets. At that point, it becomes a comedy of errors and a battle of wits with the puppet always in the lead. It's the combination of skill, clean material, perfect timing and interactive participation that makes each performance unique and memorable. Affectionately referred to as "Comedy with Class"!

Denny, his wife Jill and their three sons reside in Harrison Ohio.
